FUNCTIONAL FITNESS & REHABILITATION
General physical fitness plays an important role in maintaining positive health, including mental health. We are committed to providing people of all ages and of varying fitness levels, opportunity to exercise. Diamond Health & Fitness is not a traditional gym, and we have intentionally moved away from that space. We believe that inclusivity is the key to sustaining fitness levels, and our centre and sessions provide the perfect environment for this.
GROUP TRAINING:
Our popular and successful circuit training sessions have been the community bedrock of our training arm of the business. These group sessions cater for all levels, and work extremely well, allowing people to work at their own pace and utilise alternative exercises where necessary.
An exercise "circuit" is one completion of all prescribed exercises in the program. When one circuit is complete, one begins the first exercise again for another circuit. Traditionally, the time between exercises in circuit training is short, often with rapid movement to the next exercise.
Maintaining our relaxed community feel, provides people with a feel good environment where people can help and support each other. We have functional circuit training style sessions for all levels, ensuring that everyone can feel part of the centre. Our objective is to assist everyone to engage and enjoy exercise and activity, whilst improving effectively and efficiently through the varying fitness skill areas. For those looking to reach specific fitness goals (increasing dynamic stamina and strength), our centre also provides the platform to assist you.
PERSONAL TRAINING:
At Diamond Health & Fitness, certified Personal Trainer Stu Diamond can also provide individual and / or small group personal training sessions and programmes. Within these sessions the work is bespoke to the client, allowing us to assess clients strengths and inhibitions and create customized workout plans. Complimenting this we are able to provide physical and mental guidance, monitoring progress, ensuring clients reduce risk of injury, and offering motivational support and encouragement.
Focusing on predominantly functional training, we support individuals to develop fitness skill areas and increase overarching cardiovascular fitness. Training can be difficult for many, and we provide the supportive and encouraging assistance, seeking to improve people’s confidence in application to exercise and activity.
PILATES & STRETCHING:
Pilates is a physical fitness system which is extremely popular and practised worldwide. This is low impact exercise comprising controlled movements that enhance your balance, core strength, mobility, flexibility and has an extremely positive impact on general energy levels. It focuses on the smaller and deeper muscles that support your structure, supporting your overall health.
As Pilates trains the body as an integrated whole, it is perfect for increasing range of motion for the joints. This makes it an ideal session for people recovering from injury and / or returning to fitness after a lay off.
Our group Pilates sessions are a popular part of the centre and are an extremely inclusive and welcoming environment for all.
